Wedding Photographerin Phuket

nobody saw A wedding lasts
a single day.
The feeling stays
for life.
Most of my favourite frames from a wedding day are the ones the couple never saw happen. The breath a bride takes before the doors open. The look two people give each other when they think nobody is watching.
As a Phuket wedding photographer, that's the whole job to me. A wedding lasts a single day; the way it felt is what you'll want to hold onto for the rest of your life.
I'm Bird, Anuphong Khienthong on the paperwork. Across a hundred-plus weddings in Thailand, couples have flown me from Samui to Phuket, Krabi and Chiang Mai, and planners keep bringing me back to the same resorts season after season. Phuket is one I return to often.
The way I see
a Phuket wedding
I don't stack a day with poses; I watch it and stay out of the way. A lot of couples tell me they feel stiff in front of a camera, so for the first ten minutes I don't lift it. We just talk, and by the time I reach for the camera, you've forgotten it's there.
My work sits between documentary and portraiture. A Phuket wedding photoshoot with me isn't a stop-start session of set-up poses; I let the day unfold, then take a few short windows for real portraits when the light turns.
Kamala · mid-vowsAt a villa wedding near Kamala, mid-vows, the bride's grandfather quietly took her father's hand. Nobody else noticed. That's the frame the family printed, and what I watch for while everyone else watches the couple.
The Walk
There's one moment I look for at every wedding. Right after the ceremony ends, before anyone pulls you into group photos, I ask you to just walk. No posing, no instructions, just the two of you moving toward the reception or down to the sand while I hang back with a long lens.
It's almost always the shot couples love most, because nobody told them what to do. It isn't the only one I chase:
before the reception. I'm in position when each arrives.

Who I photograph
in Phuket
Phuket draws couples from all over the world, and the work reflects that. I've covered:
- iBeach ceremonies on the Andaman side, timed around the hour the afternoon light actually turns soft
- iiVilla and resort weddings, reading hard midday sun and dim reception light in the same day
- iiiA Phuket destination wedding for couples who fly in to marry here, and intimate elopements for two
- ivMulti-day, multi-tradition celebrations, including Indian weddings across the full run of pre-wedding events, ceremony and reception
I've photographed Catholic and Christian ceremonies, Buddhist blessings, and civil and symbolic ones. Each carries its own moments the families care about most, and I learn those beforehand.

How a Phuket beach
wedding actually goes
Close enough, far enough
A wedding day rarely runs exactly to plan, and I like it that way. I stay close enough to catch the small reactions but far enough back that nobody is thinking about me instead of you.
Two places at once
On most weddings a second shooter covers the angles I can't be in two places for, so nothing important slips past.
Rain belongs too
I've watched a clear sky turn to a squall off the Andaman mid-setup, and some of those frames are the ones couples talk about afterward. I keep shooting whenever it's safe, and there's always a plan for cover.
I take on only a limited number of weddings each year, and just one a day. You're trusting me with a day you can't repeat, and no couple should share their photographer with someone else's celebration. On yours there's no clock and no next booking on my mind, just your day from the first nervous laugh to the last dance.
Why couples book us
Most couples come to me weighing a few worries at once. Here's how the day answers them.
You won't spend an hour posing
Ten quiet minutes is all I need; the rest is you, undirected.
One team for photo and film
Book both and a single crew shoots them together, so your images and film share the same light and read of the day.
Your gallery in 10 days
A fraction of the usual wait, in English or Thai throughout.
I know these rooms
I shoot regularly at Samui's Conrad, W, InterContinental, Vana Belle and Centara Reserve, and I read a venue, its light and its difficult corners, the way you only can after covering many.
Your Phuket wedding photography, delivered
Here's the part most studios stay vague about. While couples who booked elsewhere wait six to eight weeks, your photos return in 10 days, and you'll already be reliving the day with your family while the feeling is still fresh. Every image is professionally edited in a private, high-resolution gallery, with travel anywhere in Thailand included.

Pricing at a glance
Every rate below is a starting price, Thailand-wide travel built in. Book photo and film together for one team, or take either on its own.
Larger crews, multi-day coverage and custom timelines are all on the table. See the full breakdown, extras and terms on the packages page.
What couples say
We barely clocked him working. We eloped at a small temple ceremony and weren't sure we needed a photographer at all, but our parents cried looking at the photos, and they weren't even there. So glad we booked anyway.
I was nervous about the heat by the time the ceremony came around, but he worked fast through golden hour and somehow it all looks effortless. He speaks Thai, which made dealing with our venue far easier than we expected. Gallery came back exactly when he said it would.
Half the shots we love are ones we didn't know he took. Our reception ran long and he just stayed with us, no clock watching, no fuss. If you're getting married in Phuket and want someone calm who isn't constantly posing you, this is your guy.

Let's talk about your day
Years from now the flowers will be gone and the dress will live in a box. These photographs are what stay. If the frames here feel like the way you remember the people you love, we'll get along, and Phuket dates fill early, so reach out sooner rather than later.
Most people just call me Bird, so use that from the first message. As your Phuket wedding photographer, I reply within 24 hours.
